You will:

  • Dedicate approximately 70% of your time to the tasks of writing and editing, which encompass various aspects such as substantive editing, "single voice" editing, and copyediting. These tasks mainly involve working on proposals and responses to Requests For Proposal (RFPs).
  • Determine the direction of your proposals, carefully examine RFPs, RFIs (Request For Information), and other relevant documents. Attend strategy meetings and engage in conversations with subject matter experts to gain a thorough understanding of the requirements.
  • Obtain proposal-related information by identifying reliable sources and collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs). This collaboration aims to gain a clear understanding of their expertise and effectively convey their knowledge in the proposals.
  • Compose proposal content by gathering information and creating outlines that outline solutions, outcomes, and benefits. Write persuasive text that incorporates win themes and differentiators, aiming to stand out from competitors. Continuously improve the quality of proposal writing by evaluating and redesigning processes, approach, coordination, and utilizing standard templates. Actively contribute ideas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Provide support to the seller throughout the proposal process. Ensure proposal deadlines are met by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, reviewing, and obtaining approvals. Coordinate with contributors to align requirements and effectively communicate proposal status during review meetings.
  • Write, revise, and edit responses as necessary to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Utilize Loopio to maintain high-quality results. Adhere to proposal-writing standards, including readability, consistency, and tone. Additionally, maintain a database of proposal support materials to aid in future proposals.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team player
  • 2+ years of technical proposal writing experience in the enterprise space.
  • Experience writing technical proposals for software development processes, Payroll, Payments, etc.
  • Understanding of win themes, proposal concepts, and the business development lifecycle
  • Experience working with subject matter experts and graphic designers to create compelling visual images
