The role: Marketing Project Manager

Papaya Global’s Marketing Team is on the lookout for a Marketing Project Manager. As the Marketing team’s inaugural Project Manager, you will be glue that helps keep projects — and people — together. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling, managing and executing projects from beginning to end. The project scope can vary from single pieces of collateral to multifaceted, multichannel marketing campaigns. You will be part of the journey of all marketing projects, from inception to final delivery, ensuring that all assignments reach optimal state for approvals. 

You will bring marketing assignments to life through collaboration with multiple internal teams and external vendors, from copy and design and through to external web and graphic partners. You’ll create and implement deadlines, assess capacity, project goals and workflows to ensure smooth production process with on-time delivery.

The variety of projects will bring new challenges, and as project manager, you’ll be able to assess how much time is required to achieve each task successfully. You’ll nurture each assignment to ensure briefs are thoughtful and that the work meets various stakeholder approvals. As an advocate for the brand, you’ll recognize when tasks hit the mark and know how to garner the best work from a myriad of designers and content writers.

You’ll bring your previous experience in marketing and see it as an exciting space for brands to reach their potential and beyond. You have a passion for nurturing the creative spirit, refining the right tools to enhance the creative process, and helping to bring to life brand moments to the market.

What you will do:

  • Have a big picture view of all marketing goals and objectives across a large marketing team (27 and growing)
  • Bring all marketing missions to life, from briefing to final production
  • Enable writers and designers to achieve project production efficiently and effectively
  • Troubleshoot creative and execution blockers
  • Manage timelines, production process and competing priorities
  • Have a solid understanding of how competing priorities can impact the business
  • Demonstrate agility managing requests from multiple stakeholders, within and external to the marketing team
  • Develop a solid understanding of the brand to ensure all studio assignments effectively meet the communications and brand goals
  • Identify creative ways to overcome creative blockers and challenges
  • High level of English proficiency
  • 4+ years of project/studio management, preferably for marketing teams within scaling organizations
  • A mastery of timelines, details, and helping multiple teams manage and pace their workload
  • Strong understanding of creative design, copy and the creative process to help deliver a wide range of creative tasks, including online, animation, offline, and more
  • A creative problem solver
  • A team player who works well in a fast and dynamic environment
