We are looking for a Finance Operation Specialist to join our fast-growing company and our amazing Finance Operational Team! At Papaya we are working closely with the world’s fast-growing companies to manage their global payroll and workforce through our own SaaS platform. We are looking for you if you have a real passion for details, timelines, and global operations

You Will:

  • Work closely with Papaya’s in-country partners and internal teams, and relentlessly work to ensure their ongoing operation 
  • Audit payroll entries in an Excel based reporting 
  • Be responsible for validation of payroll cycle: sticking to agreed timelines, ensuring correctness of payroll items in reports and taking ownership of completing the process 
  • Test automations developed by the team to improve team’s operational excellence 
  • Be a point of contact to align ongoing issues, troubleshoot and suggest improvements on assigned projects 
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies with internal and external parties. 
  • Build productive and trusting relationships with Papaya’s in-country partners through meeting deliverable expectations and timelines 
  • Conduct fast and precise communication, and get answers to your questions, addressing issues end-to-end following cycle timeline 
  • Support the team in improving operational processes and procedures 
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed. 
  • Based in Kraków or in the close vicinity (hybrid work model) 
  • Ability to work full time on the afternoon shift Monday - Friday (1pm - 9pm) with an additional compensation granted 
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken (C1-C2). Additional languages are an advantage. 
  • Strong team-working skills, ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact 
  • High analytical skills alongside the ability to discern the small details 
  • Computer literate, fluent in Microsoft suite, with ability to navigate different programmes at the same time 
  • A creative and problem-solving person 
  • Proficient level in Excel (Pivot & Vlookup) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, and/or Economics is a nice-to-have. It can also fit 3rd-year Students in those fields
