  • Germany has Europe’s strongest economy and the world’s fourth strongest.
  • The solidarity tax (5.5%) was introduced in 1991 to help rebuild Eastern Germany and provide capital to the newly integrated administration. There have been talks to reduce or remove this tax.
  • 24 annual vacation days are mandatory in Germany, but most businesses provide 30!
